Rio de Janeiro now allows dogs and cats inside supermarkets.
With this achievement by the Association of Supermarkets of the State of Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with the Municipal Institute of Sanitary Surveillance, the Zoonoses Surveillance and the Agricultural Inspection, the capital is now the first to adopt this practice in the country.
Thus, establishments that adhere to the initiative and allow pets into their spaces will receive ASSERJ's Super Pet seal.
